Synergy Health provides outsourced support services to
healthcare providers and a wide range of other businesses including
large multinational medical device manufacturers. Our services
focus on infection control, sterilisation and pathology. We are one
of the leading providers of these outsourced services across the
UK & Ireland, Europe & the Middle East, Asia & Africa and The
Americas, employing over 4000 people. Synergy Health is a
public company with its shares listed on the London Stock
Exchange.
Main Operating Divisions
Hospital Sterilisation Services (HSS)
Providing sterilisation services for surgical instruments to
acute and primary healthcare providers through a network of clean
room facilities. As a leading provider of these services the
business is expanding rapidly with facilities in the United Kingdom
and The Netherlands, together with new facilities in development in
China.
Applied Sterilisation Technologies (AST)
The leading provider of sterilisation services for single use
medical device manufacturers. The division uses a number of
technologies to sterilise medical devices including gamma
irradiation, ebeam and ethylene oxide. In addition to sterilisation
services for medical device manufacturers this division works with
pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and packaging customers from
facilities in 11 countries.
Healthcare Solutions (HCS)
Providing infection control services including the provision of
a wide range of products that are used to help manage healthcare
environments such as hand hygiene, air sterilisation and other
decontamination products.
Laboratory Services (SHLS)
The Laboratory Services (SHLS) business is delivered
collectively through our Synergy Health Laboratory Services
(SHLS) Ltd and Isotron companies. Amongst other
services, it encompasses outsourced microbiological testing support
to medical device manufacturers for routine validations and product
development and pathology testing for healthcare providers,
including our rapid MRSA screening service. Currently operating
from laboratories in England, the business has ambitions to expand
across Europe.
Pharmaceutical Laboratory Services (SHPL)
Located in The Netherlands, the Pharmaceutical Laboratory
Services (SHPL) section of the business (which originated from
RegiLabs) provides chemical
and microbiological testing for pharmaceutical companies and
manufacturers.
Linen Management Services (LMS)
This division is the leading provider of hospital linen
management services in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands.
Investment in China
Synergy Health is expanding its business in China to support the
Government’s objective to invest in healthcare infrastructure. Our
initial investment is in Suzhou, where we are investing 200m RMB to
create a state of the art hospital and medical device sterilisation
facility. This initial investment will be followed by further new
facilities throughout China, as we assist hospitals with meeting
the new healthcare objectives.
