Quality & Environment
Synergy Health is represented on relevant committees of trade
bodies both to support the industry and to maintain awareness of
key issues and trends. Synergy Health also has representation on
the British Standards Institute’s committee for sterilisation of
medical devices and working groups of the International Standards
Organisation, helping with the development of standards.
All Synergy Health's surgical sterilisation facilities operate
according to relevant European standards, including the European
Medical Device Directive.
Minimising environmental impact through measuring and
controlling emissions, recycling of surplus materials and careful
disposal of clinical waste are integral to the running of Synergy
Health’s operations. Environmental risks are managed through
the application of the highest standards of design, engineering and
management.
Active cooperation takes place with national and international
bodies responsible for isotope management and radiation safety.
