Packaging
Microbial contamination on packaging materials can
lead to spoilage of the product which in turn leads to a
dissatisfied end user. It is therefore vital to have a reliable,
quality controlled process to sterilise or sanitise packaging prior
to use.
Our Electron Beam and Gamma irradiation processes are non-invasive,
enabling packaging such as plastic containers, bag-in-box liners,
caps, closures, film and numerous other containers to be used in
pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
Isotron microbiological laboratories are available for validation
and pilot studies. Our R&D facilities routinely carry out
research on the suitability of sterilisation by irradiation for a
number of different polymers, adhesives, inks and other
material.
