Hospital Sterilisation Services (HSS)

The Hospital Sterilisation Services (HSS) business provides a range of support services to operating rooms, primary care facilities and orthopaedic loan set suppliers. It is the largest private provider of sterilisation services for re-usable medical and surgical instruments within Europe. In addition Synergy Health is able to provide a complete outsourcing solution to its customers, managing related logistics and management information, together with the provision of infection control systems to minimize risks in the operating room.

Our exclusively and internally developed TrakStar™ software system manages the tracking and traceability throughout the cycle of reusable instrument disinfection and sterilisation.

Applied Sterilisation Technologies (AST)

Using the three principal sterilisation technologies of gamma, electron beam and ethylene oxide, the Applied Sterilisation Technologies (AST) business operates through a network of 28 sites in 11 countries across Europe, Asia and Africa. Our services are widely used for sterilising single use medical devices, pharmaceuticals, veterinary and labware products in addition to controlling contamination in cosmetics, packaging and food. Alongside the principal technologies, this business also incorporates an Ion beam providing a range of services such as material modification for a variety of industrial sectors.

The AST business originated with the acquisition of Isotron in 2007 and has since become a global service provider with further acquisitions of GSP, BeamOne (now Synergy Health Americas) and SterilGamma.

Synergy Health Laboratory Services (SHLS)

The Laboratory Services (SHLS) business is delivered collectively through our Synergy Health Laboratory Services (SHLS) Ltd, Isotron and RegiLabs companies. It encompasses outsourced microbiological testing support to medical device manufacturers for routine validations and product development and pathology testing for healthcare providers, including our rapid MRSA screening service. Occupational health and screening services are provided to customers seeking a single solution for workplace drug & alcohol testing, together with support in implementing appropriate policies.

Linen Management Services (LMS)

Our market leading Linen Management Services (LMS) are the only such services to be dedicated to the specialist needs of healthcare. Through our extensive operations networks both in the UK and in The Netherlands, managed via our Dutch subsidiary LIPS Textielservice (LTS), we are able to support hospitals and extended care facilities. Options range from reusable and sterile linen and management information, to a fully integrated service.
