Why treat documents?
Untreated documents that have been affected by bacteria, mould
and spores can result in problems in both for the short and
long-term. This can result in:
- Cross-contamination of other stored articles
- A continued downward spiral of contamination to point of
disposal
- Total loss of items through non-treatment, or insufficient
treatment methods
Low levels of irradiation offer a complete solution to these
problems, in contrast to other techniques which only partially
solve the problems caused by contamination and spoilage. The safe
