Dräger Alcotest Breathalyser
Units + Calibration
The units SHLS supply are Home Office approved
Dräger Alcotest units that produce legally defensible results.
There is a good chance if you ever get stopped by the police a
roadside breath test will be carried out by one of these units.
The recommended unit supplied is the Alcotest
6810, this unit has a patented mouthpiece with non-return valve to
prevent any form of manipulation and the sample collection is
controlled by an in-built microprocessor. Test results are
displayed on the illuminated graphics LC display accompanied by
color LEDs and acoustic signals. The unit has been
specifically
designed for efficient use, it is lightweight, compact and
ergonomic, therefore suitable for right or left handed users. The
unit has a memory of 250 test results combined with a recorded time
stamp, it is powered by two AA alkaline batteries which lasts for
over 1,500 tests.
The Dräger 6810 package supplied by SHLS
includes a Dräger wireless mobile printer, spare printer roll,
patented mouthpieces, four AA alkaline batteries and a
protective transport case, everything required for the complete and
proper practice of alcohol breath testing.
To ensure the precise readings of the units,
calibration is required every six months. SHLS offer a range of
calibration programmes and have on-site technicians trained by
Dräger who can ensure the units are calibrated correctly. SHLS can
provide a three year contract that will calibrate a companies unit
every six months for the three years, the company will be reminded
when the unit is due for calibration and also supplied with a
temporary replacement unit during this time (stock permitting) to
ensure the use of a breathalyser unit is always available. SHLS
also supply employee/manager training courses that teach the
correct practice and procedures of carrying out an alcohol breath
test using our Dräger devices.
